Don't throw away your old gpu if you're distro-hopping.

This is probably a very limited use case, but I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it earlier. I was trying to install manjaro, but it would hang at startup due to not having the right gpu driver in kernel 4.14. I tried using the cli installer on a different tty, but sadly, that thing is buggy as shit.Cue hours of fruitless endeavors later, and at 3am, it dawned on me. Why not swap out my vega with my 580? A couple minutes fiddling in my case, another 10 minutes to finish the installation. Install kernel 4.19, reinstall the vega, good to go. Could've been done in 20 minutes instead of 4 hours. I'm sure there was a proper way around the issues I was having, but sometimes, thinking in simpler terms can save you quite a bit of time, and keep your brain less fried from digging through google.
