Top 10 Life tips

How to Cross Out Writing

If you don’t want others to be able to read crossed out words, don’t scribble over them. Instead, write random numbers and letters over them.

Master the art of procrastination

No, you can’t give the middle finger to everything in your life – but when you have a strong resistance towards doing perhaps it’s a sign that you should give in to procrastination and just try being. It seems counterintuitive as a minimalist trick, but it works wonders.

How to Prevent Pancake Mess

Making pancakes can be messy, so use this simple life hack to prevent the mess. Clean out an old ketchup bottle and use it to store and pour pancake mix.

Clean the Blinds

These are also probably pretty dirty if you haven’t cleaned them in a while, so here’s an easy solution: Combine equal parts water and vinegar in a bowl and get a sock to put over your hand. Dip the sock in the solution and then run it over each slat of the blinds to remove any dirt or dust!

Do what you want, just do no harm

Finish off your year of minimalism with this simple motto that takes the complexity out of ethical dilemmas by granting you freedom to live by your own rules — so long as they don’t impede on anyone else.

If a ball point pen won't write, instead of doing the random scribble thing, stick the tip of the pen into a flame, just barely so the ball gets hot, and it will melt the ink that has trapped the ballpoint. Takes about 2 seconds, and the pen is ready to write again.

Like so http://imgur.com/midJEedit: I probably should have clarified this works when the scribble thing does not work (most of the time).

Pack a pizza stone

A pizza stone will help to even out the heat in your RV’s propane oven so you can bake amazing meals.  And of course, you can always use it to make pizza!  Pizza stones do break, so be sure to protect them by wrapping them for travel. Find more tips for cooking in your RV oven

Use Covers to Keep Your Furniture Fur Free

Do you allow your pets on the furniture? If you do you’re well aware of how hard is to keep them clean. My favorite tip for keeping your furniture clean and fur free is to use a cover. You can use sheets, blankets or slip covers — and if you want something to match your decor you can get them custom made. When it’s cleaning time you just throw those covers in the wash & you’re good to go.

Repurpose your dishwater

When you are boondocking, your time off-grid and unhooked will be much better if you don’t run out of water.  Washing and rinsing dishes uses more water than anything besides your RV toilet, so it makes sense to repurpose your dishwater.  Use a basin to wash your dishes, and then use gray water to flush your toilet.

Simplify decision making

Too many decisions take up our mental capacity and can be draining, if not debilitating. Simple living is about knowing what matters most to you in life and easing the burden of choice. You’ll be surprised at how a little self-awareness, clarity, and focus, can chisel your decision-making skills.
