Enemy status shields do not stop poison. They just prevent the damage effect from taking place. After the shield expires, the enemy will still be poisoned. The boss of the Light Guardian Dragon dungeon has a Resolve. It also has a 1-turn status shield. You can poison on turn 1, attack it, and its shield will expire before the poison takes effect. I just tried it.The shield is apparently supposed to protect it from dying to poison on turn 1, but it's hilariously useless for that, because the shield expires before the poison check.Zeus&Hera also has Resolve and a short-duration status shield, in case you need to know that.
